I took the door off shortly after we moved in, but it was still a squeeze. Then one day _QueenOfNaps_ came out of the bathroom to the sound of banging, which was me removing some of the bits from inside the doorframe. It was slightly easier, but still a squeeze.Permalink On twitter.com

This weekend I ripped the entire doorframe out, leaving only the joists. I rebuilt it to look good but more importantly, it's wider. There's never going to be a door in there. _QueenOfNaps_ can now easily get in and out of the kitchen in her chair.Permalink On twitter.com
