charlottegore I think there's a nuance between freedom of speech and companies giving people a platform, but the line is sorta blurry tbh. I think it's the difference between "my thoughts are illegal and they shouldn't be" and "I am a social pariah because of my thoughts, maybe this is on me"

charlottegore Having thought about this a little more, the illegality thing depends on what it is. Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia etc should absolutely be restricted speech as it is directly harmful.

charlottegore Telling your mates that 5g is there so that the government can spy on you? Fine, but social media platforms should absolutely not allow you to try and broadcast that and influence a wide audience with disinformation.
