I've done a couple of things at LeedsJS to try and account for this: 1) Open RSVPs a week before the event so that people are less likely to forget that they said they're going. Thankfully we still do get 50-60 people show up rather than the huge drop-off that other groups see. But I also have to agree with the message of the original tweet. If you can't go, please update your RSVP or release your ticket.On twitter.com
