Even though I don't use it much anymore, I still think that PHP is great. It's low barrier to entry is both its best and worst feature. Best because it makes it easy to get going. But I think that as long as people learn from it, the downside is acceptable. Plus, learning materials have gotten way better since I learned and there are loads of great open source projects to learn from.On twitter.com
