    1. One thing I love putting at the start of my talks at conferences is my call to support local community groups. It always gets positive support and to me it's such an important message. Local community groups are the heart of the tech scene.

    Most of the time they're volunteer driven and they need your support. That support can be volunteering to help, offering talks or even just attending.
