    1. Not sure if it's just me, but I really don't like it when people use the word "talent" to describe something or someone where effort has been involved.

    Talent implies that they're just naturally good at it, which is rarely the case and devalues the hard work that they put in to getting to that point.

      "Sam is a talented programmer" No, Sam is a skilled programmer, they worked hard learning the skill and gotten to where they are through that hard work.
