    1. Just came into a restaurant where they have to unlock the door to let you in and the menu is written on blackboards on the wall because it changes when they get stuff. Felt hipster, but it's meant to be good!

      It wasn't pretentious at all (and I really hate pretension around food). Excellent food, good portions, and the price was probably less than I'd be expecting to pay for the quality I got. Definitely less than it'd cost in the UK.

        The restaurant is Las Pizarras Bistro (pizarrasbistro) in Palermo Soho, Buenos Aires. If you have a chance to go then I'd highly recommend it.

          I had the prawns with fennel, quinoa black pudding and ume puree, and the beef flank with grilled polenta, zucchini, capers and sauteed mushrooms. The beef actually had a crunch to the crust which is amazing. 😍🤤

            I even adulted a bit and had some wine. (Although I've come to really enjoy Malbec on this trip)
